Ben Orson
Managing Director, London JPA Design

Ben studied industrial design at Loughborough University and went on to complete an MA in the subject at Central Saint Martin's. He joined JPA Design in 2002 and returned to the company as Managing Director of the London office in 2013 following a three year period as Design Director with Zodiac Aerospace, one of the world’s leading aircraft interior equipment manufacturers. Over the course of three years with Zodiac, he established a world-class industrial design facility in California which developed a number of the company’s most critically important products, a series of innovative seating concepts, and generated a wealth of valuable IP. Ben has recently returned to JPA as Managing Director and is now intent on realising JPA’s aspirations for development and growth.

Ben has been responsible for a series of ground-breaking projects for many of the world’s leading travel companies across the transport sectors. His work with JPA has encompassed design research and strategy, branding, livery and graphics, interior product design for aircraft and railcars, materials development and project management.

Fiona Langton
General Manager, XJet London

With over 19 years of working in the commercial and VIP Aviation world, Fiona brings collective experience from renowned industry leaders such as Emirates and Virgin Atlantic as well as expertise in the bespoke VVIP Private Jet market. With the logistical and process knowledge gained from working in a Military environment such as Afghanistan for over 2 years with the USA Army on multiple aviation projects, Fiona has merged her experience with a broad understanding of multiple cultural requirements. Fiona brought her passion and insight into her role as General Manager for XJet London based at Stansted Airport. Her first task was to conduct the project management on the full refurbishment of their award-winning VIP Facility, with the assistance and influence of renowned designer Katherine Pooley. “Design is an important aspect of exceptional service. How we present ourselves is the lasting impression we give to our clients, they remember the quality of their entire experience, therefore the details are so important, you have to consider every aspect of an impression to be recognized.”

Gabriella Somerville
Founder and managing director of ConnectJets

As founder and managing director of ConnectJets, Gabriella has amassed over 25 years experience in commercial and business aviation. Her vision for ConnectJets was borne out of her passion for private aviation and ConnectJets is Gabriella's' platform for presenting this sector of aviation to a wider audience, by simplifying processes and delivering a competitive and client focused service. Key to enhancing ConnectJets leading position is Gabriella's continuing commitment to develop innovative new products and services, leverage the potential of emerging markets, and build value-added quality partnerships.

Ivan Veretennikov
Business Development Director, ArcosJet

Though formally educated in linguistics and foreign affairs, Ivan became a passionate aviator immediately after joining the Russian media powerhouse Legend Media in 2007 and was since then involved in all major business aviation media projects in Russia as Senior Editor, Editor-in-Chief, and Advisor, as well as earned worldwide recognition as an industry journalist. His next project was JetBook, the hi-tech application that eventually became the backbone of innovation and futuristic sales and business development methods at ArcosJet.

Since then Ivan has become a successful aircraft broker in his own right. He is an avid helicopter enthusiast and flies the Robinson R44 and R66 under his Russian PPL.

John Matthews
Chairman of AirX

John Matthews started his aviation career as a teenager, washing aircraft in return for flying lessons. Today he is the Chairman of AirX, a private jet operator which last year was listed as one of the top 10 charter companies worldwide by Billionaire Magazine, with clients including A-list celebrities, high net worth individuals, royal families, government officials, top corporate executives, sports teams and global music tours.

This year, John was awarded the Ruban D’Honneur at the European Business Awards, in recognition of his unique business structure and vision. The extensive knowledge he has amassed over his career from diverse areas of the industry has given him unparalleled insight into the market. This experience coupled with an entrepreneurially outlook has led to impressive achievements for AirX.

The company is the largest Citation X operator in Europe and boasts the world’s largest executive jet available for charter, the industry renowned A340, aptly named 9H-BIG. As well as high-end travel the company also carries out ACMI contracts with its ability to transform its VIP Boeing 737 aircraft into an economy configuration for low cost travel. By operating a flexible and diversified fleet John’s unique vision has pushed the boundaries of fleet diversification with outstanding results.

Sylvain Mariat
Head of Creative Design, AIRBUS CORPORATE JETS

Responsible of the "Creative Design Studio" at Airbus Corporate Jets, the career path of Sylvain Mariat has been varied and broad, taking him from the benches of ENSAAMA - Olivier de Serre (Ecole Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Arts) in 2001, to the Creative Studio of Airbus in late 2003, after a Bachelor of Arts at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design in 2002, followed by a Masters in Dual Design at Saint-Etienne in 2003.

His UK qualifications and five years at Airbus working on several cabins for airline companies from all over the world have instilled a fundamental ethic in his approach to clients: appropriate their history and culture in order to understand and then translate their expectations and needs into colours, materials, shapes and environments. In late 2003, he was selected to work on the cabin design of the future A380 for an Asian airline. Following this project, at the end of 2007 he was offered the opportunity of creating the cabin layouts for VIP and VVIP customers in the Airbus subsidiary: Airbus Corporate Jet Centre. Since March 2017, Sylvain Mariat is in charge of the ACJ Design Studio.

Wynton Fauré
Sales Director UK, ME, Africa at Elit'Avia

Wynton has worked within the luxury, media, sports and aviation sectors for 20 years, currently sales director for Elitavia; he was previously sales director at world renowned TAG Aviation and prior to that, senior vice president of sales at branded fleet operator Vistajet for 8 years where he spearheaded their frontier market expansion. He’s consulted and negotiated countless aircraft management and completion to delivery deals and has strong relationships across the leading OEM’s. He is involved with mentoring and coaching with Project Playground, a children’s charity based in South Africa.
