The Vmu (minimum unstick speed) test subjects the aircraft to its aerodynamic limits before becoming airborne. The tail touches the runway and the airspeed is measured at the moment the airplane takes off. The Vmu test for the E195-E2 was conducted last month at Embraer’s Gavião Peixoto facility. This test is required for certification, which is right on target for next year.
