Albinati Aeronautics has announced a major milestone: its Dassault Falcon 6X, operated under a Maltese AOC, became the first aircraft of this type to successfully land at Cannes-Mandelieu Airport (LFMD). The landing took place on September 5 at 18:00 local time, marking a significant achievement for both the operator and the wider business aviation community at this exclusive airport.
This approval was the result of close cooperation between Albinati Aeronautics’ operational teams, Cannes-Mandelieu Airport authorities, and Dassault Aviation. The partnership ensured full compliance with strict regulatory, safety, and environmental standards, highlighting the expertise and professionalism of Albinati’s specialists in securing the necessary authorizations for Falcon 6X operations.
Located in the heart of the French Riviera, Cannes-Mandelieu is one of the most regulated and exclusive business aviation airports in Europe. With its short runway, strict operational limitations, and rigorous noise abatement rules, only a select number of business jets and specially trained crews are permitted access.
This milestone comes just a week after the Falcon 6X showcased its short-runway performance at Gstaad-Saanen Airport during the Hublot Polo Gold Cup Gstaad. Both Saanen and Cannes now stand as proof of the aircraft’s and Albinati Aeronautics’ ability to operate safely and efficiently in some of the most challenging airport environments.
“The successful approval and first landing of our Falcon 6X at Cannes-Mandelieu is a proud achievement for Albinati Aeronautics,” said Stefano Albinati, CEO. “It reflects both our ability to train Falcon 6X crews for short-runway operations and our commitment to the highest standards of safety, precision, and customer service.”
