The EC 135 is a twin-engine light utility helicopter which has a 400-mile range and a cruise speed of 155 MPH (137 knots). The EC 135 was entered into service in 1996, and since then over a thousand aircraft have been produced to date. By 2013, more than 500 EC 135’s were providing helicopter emergency medical services across the world.
