Wasaya Airways L.P. is the only operator of the Beech 1900D in Northwestern Ontario. The Beech 1900D is a modern, twin-turbine, pressurized passenger aircraft that is configured for spacious airline-line style seating, accommodating 1 to 19 passengers.
Wasaya Airways operates a small fleet of Beech 1900D's from our Thunder Bay and Sioux Lookout bases. The 1900D is an exceptional aircraft for business travel and is a popular choice for many of Wasaya Airways' private and public sector customers traveling throughout Canada and the United States.
The Beech 1900D translates from pavement to gravel easily, due to the on-board anti-skid modifications which allows for commercial operation into areas that would not normally be served by other aircraft in its class. Wasaya relies on this option in order to provide an economical means of air service to our diverse customer base, without compromising our high standards for safety.
The maximum cruise speed of the 1900D is 283 knots. The wingspan is 57 feet, 11 inches, with an overall aircraft length of 57 feet, 10 inches. The cabin length is 39 feet, with a width of 4 feet, 6 inches, and a height of 5 feet, 11 inches.
