Founded in 2006 with foreign capital Tailwind performed its first flight in May 2009. Since the day it was founded, Tailwind's mission has been to achieve a permanent and effective position in the civil aviation industry and become a distinguished airline.

Tailwind Airline has been an IATA (International Air Transport Association) Operational Safety Audit Program (IOSA) registered airline since 2010. IOSA implements audit principles that ensure that audits are done continuously and in compliance with standard requirements and are accepted by all countries of the world. Additionally, Tailwind has been an ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) certified airline company since 2011.
