At 1800 UTC, the eye of Hurricane Irma was located near latitude 22.0 North, longitude 76.0 West. Miami Center (ZMA) is already reporting some staffing issues due to evacuations. NBAA Air Traffic Services expects more staffing issues at towers, TRACONs and centers over the weekend. ZMA is requesting that to the extent possible, operators file out of ZMA via the Q-routes on the west side and the Atlantic Routes (ARs) or AZEZU routes on the east side.
