Volga-Dnepr Group (VD) and its strategic partner, CargoLogicAir, have recently hosted a general meeting for ArGo and its members, who are focused on providing disaster-response services globally. ArGo’s executive board and around 20 of their UK member organizations were part of the meeting organized in a dedicated training room of VD facility just a few minutes away from Heathrow Airport.
The meeting focused around the importance of UK-based companies providing disaster-support services and products around the world, and the traditional role of the UK government providing leadership in the response to global natural & man-made crisis response. During the meeting, the group was pleased to hear about ArGo having received its official trade association status as well as understanding about its new strategic direction.
Volga-Dnepr Group, as hosts, provided a 20 minute update on their most recent air logistics interventions in Mozambique & Indonesia and then organised a speed-dating session where all participants were able to meet each other & understand more about each of their businesses. Further meetings of ArGo are expected later this year as well as attendance at the International Disaster Response Expo in London in December 2019.
