This is what happened 50 years ago on July 16th 1969, when the belief in the success of Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Michael Collins and the team & partners supporting them saw the start of the 9 day mission of Apollo 11 to achieve the dreams of everyone involved, stepping onto and exploring new worlds.
Apollo 11 was launched by a Saturn V rocket from Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island, Florida, on July 16 at 13:32 UTC, and was the fifth crewed mission of NASA's Apollo program proving small steps over time can achieve giant leaps in moments, which are never forgotten.
