The ability to believe that training, teamwork, determination, courage, partnership and sacrifice could make the unbelievable believable overcame all the obstacles encountered to put astronauts on the moon.
This is what happened 50 years ago on July 16th 1969, when the belief in the success of Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Michael Collins and the team & partners supporting them saw the start of the 9 day mission of Apollo 11 to achieve the dreams of everyone involved, stepping onto and exploring new worlds.
Apollo 11 was launched by a Saturn V rocket from Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island, Florida, on July 16 at 13:32 UTC, and was the fifth crewed mission of NASA's Apollo program proving small steps over time can achieve giant leaps in moments, which are never forgotten.
