One of the most successful British corporate jets HS.125 has been in operation for over 50 years. The project of the jet was announced by de Havilland in early 1961. It was initially designated as the DH125 Jet Dragon, then entered production as the Hawker Siddeley HS.125. The aircraft had a capacity of 6 passengers, cruise speed of 800 km/h and a range of 2400 km. Occasionally this type operated to transport Queen Elizabeth II and other members of the British Royal Family. Nowadays it is produced as the Hawker 800 building on the success of the original "de Havilland" design.
